ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome to my counselling psychotherapy private practice!
My name is Amber and I’m a heart-centred therapist and student of life. I’m a happily partnered, mid-life mom and bonus mom of four amazing teens/young adults, a spunky older dog, mischievous cat, and an ever-expanding jungle of indoor plants.
Whether you’re here to catch up with yourself, make a big decision, cope with some kind of change, or process something painful or deep, this is your space.
My practice is an honest and open place to land and get your bearings.
I work across a lot of different types of issues (early relational trauma, incident trauma, grief, neurodiverse concerns, sexuality) in an individual or partnered context. I feel drawn specifically to these areas of specialty because of the way our prevailing culture can minimize, overlook, avoid, misattune, and sometimes reject folks working hard to navigate and cope with them.
My way of working is warm and authentic and intended to invite the whole person into the supportive space we create together. So we start slow, collaborate around how you’d like to work (given my style and expertise) and we pace ourselves to support your nervous system healthfully so that the process of healing doesn’t feel like “going through it” all over again.
Please reach out for a free consultation, I am ongoingly accepting new clients for session and group!
Looking forward to connecting with you!
