Registered Clinical Counsellor | Individual & Relationship Therapy

Hello
Hello, and welcome! I'm Amber, a heart-centred therapist and student of life. I'm a midlife mom with a spunky senior dog, a mischievous kitten, and an ever expanding jungle of plants.
Early experiences of grief are a part of what brought me to the field of counselling. I'm drawn to the parts of human experience that can feel the loneliest, often because our society is so uncomfortable with them.
I hope that through our work you feel heard and known on your own terms, in your own unique way. I'm honoured by their trust and everyday in awe of the beauty of the humanness I get to witness as part of my work with them.
How I Work
My practice is an honest and open place to land. You don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear goal. Sessions are conversation-based, paced by you, and guided by what feels safe and useful, whether that's making sense of old patterns, understanding what's happening in your body, or working through a relationship that matters to you.
I draw on several approaches, including relational, attachment-focused, somatic and trauma-informed work, and I blend them to fit the person in front of me. If you're curious about specifics, the list below shows the frameworks that shape my work.
